Youth Ministry
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. I Timothy 4:12  
 
Mission:
Ignite is a verb which means to catch fire or cause to catch fire. Inspired by I kings 18:36-39 - Elijah stood against a culture and cried out to God saying, "Answer me, that this people may know that you oh Lord, are God, and they you have turned their heart back again," We believe that the youth of this nation play a vital role in the church family and our present culture. Teenagers face feelings of being alone, not fitting in, and feeling unloved. We hope that through our ministry we can show our youth the love God has for them and their purpose in this world. Just as stars shine due to the darkness around them, we are called to be in the world but not of this world.

 
WE ARE HERE TO: 
EVANGELIZE and disciple the youth of our community (junior high through high 
school) through creative and culturally relevant methods, without forsaking the 
truth and holiness of God's Word. 

MOTIVATE young people to develop a contagious passion for Jesus Christ. 

PROVIDE a safe and fun alternative on Thursday nights where youth can 
participate in genuine worship, hear the truth of God's Word, and fellowship with 
like-minded peers. 

EQUIP young people to share their faith and step into the calling God has for 
their   lives. 

ENCOURAGE and challenge teenagers to set an example for the believers in 
speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Upstreet Kids
Children's Ministry

Up-street kids the name of our children’s ministry. The classrooms are divided by age and grade levels and are staffed by workers who care about your children. Our desire is to teach and model Jesus to them in all we do.

 
Hebrew Cafe
"Club Metro"

At Olympia Metro Church, be believe that fellowship is a vital part of building up - and encouraging each other in our faith. One method we use to promote fellowship is our awesome Hebrew cafe. This multi-purpose room also hosts luncheons, meetings, small groups, parties and game/movie nights. We are proud to feature Mud Bay coffee, snacks and non-coffee beverages before and after services. Please join us for a good cup of mud, and fellowship!

Christmas Island Display

             (50 years ago)
Since leaving South Sound Shopping Mall in 1996, Olympia Metro Church has worked on restoring and displaying some of the original Christmas Island display (since 1998). This ministry is sponsored by Olympia Metro Church, and is displayed during the month of December each year from dusk to 10:00 pm. The heart of our Church is to provide a visible sign of what Christmas is really about - the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. If you would like to help sponsor this display, you can make an taxable donation to Olympia Metro Church.
